MediLink Gets Certified for PhilHealth Cloud Storage

Published by MediLink Network, Inc.   March 16, 2020

One would often hear Esther Go, MediLink’s President and CEO, say that healthcare is a universal human need. This could not be any more true now that our nation is in the middle of addressing the containment of COVID-19.

Amid the series of news — both good and bad — delivered to our doorsteps, MediLink continues to find ways to fulfill its mission of using technology for better health. Last March 13, we received an email confirmation from PhilHealth notifying us of the good news: MediLink just passed PhilHealth’s requirements to get certified in their eClaims Cloud Storage (eCCS).

PhilHealth began inviting healthcare facilities and their respective eClaims service providers to apply for certification to get access to the eCCS. MediLink received the invitation last December 2019 and went straight to work. By January of 2020, we were already in the testing phase working hand-in-hand with the IT department of St. Luke’s Medical Center.

What it means for us to get this certification is that MediLink gets access to the eCCS which is limited only to PhilHealth certified service providers. Similarly, this gives PhilHealth full access to the eClaims submitted by MediLink-accredited hospitals and clinics, which hopefully shortens the overall processing time. No adjustments are expected on the part of the MediLink partner facilities when it comes to the process of submitting eClaims as it will be up to MediLink’s technical development team to update the system application accordingly.

Thanks to Alleli Medina, MediLink’s System Application Specialist and lead liaison of this project, and MediLink eClaims technical developers Teodoro Manabat, Keneth Liwanag, and Jude Sapiera, MediLink is now certified!
